Loss of an influential Stallion
Thursday, November 29, 2007
Phi Slama Jama died Thursday, November 8, at age 23. Dr. Alan Raun of Reedannland in Cumming, IO, has owned him since 1985. That year, Phi Slama Jama (CH The Karankawa Chief x Wild And Lovely PH) won the Kentucky State Fair Yearling Breeders Stake and became a World’s Champion the next year, winning the Two-Year-Old Fine Harness Stallion/Gelding Stake. He won the UPHA Fine Harness Championship at the American Royal in 1987. This stallion has had many 1/2 Arabian Champions, including our own Lady Marmalade and Caffiene RTA.
